2025 Leadership Program: Start Up with Frank, Rimerman

Available virtually or in-person in our San Jose office, this one-day program offers exposure to our entrepreneurial community as you learn more about our rotational internship and fulltime programs. Start Up with Frank, Rimerman will introduce you to our service lines in a small group format to help you build relationships and become familiar with our culture leading into your 2026 Summer Internship.

 

We offer four separate program sessions with date options ranging from December through March. Date and format preferences can be discussed during the interview process.

2026 Rotational Summer Internship

Our dynamic Rotational Summer Internship allows students majoring in accounting to build a foundation in both Audit and Tax. You will work with professionals at all levels as they provide business solutions to our innovative Silicon Valley clients. We aim to provide an authentic internship experience so all interns can feel confident joining us fulltime. We are proud to be a top ranked accounting internship by Vault!

 

Interns will be based out of our San Francisco, San Jose, or San Diego office but some mobility throughout the surrounding areas is required for training and offsite activities. San Diego interns will also have the opportunity to travel to the Bay Area for the Firm’s Annual Meeting.

Responsibilities

  • Working on audit engagements and developing an understanding of audit processes
  • Attending client meetings and engagement planning meetings
  • Assisting with business risk consulting and compliance projects
  • Preparing income tax returns (individual, fiduciary, partnership, not-for-profit and corporate)
  • Processing business transactions into accounting records and appropriate financial statements
  • Learning standardized office and accounting-related software

Outside of department work, our internship also includes a variety of social events where you will have the chance to connect with fellow interns and co-workers in a casual setting. Specific socials may vary based on your home office.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program with an emphasis in Accounting
  • Final graduation date between December 2026 and August 2027
  • Detailed plan to complete the 150 semester/225 quarter units required for California CPA licensure
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0, with a higher major GPA preferred
